underrated investigation series (un)known as touch detective in the US and mystery detective in europe. i love it a lot for its unique and quirky character design, great music, and good gameplay. 3rd game can be enjoyed thanks to a fan translation. there’s also some obscure spin-offs

ghost trick isn’t really a visual novel but i just HAD to include this goat somewhere. this game is literally peak and i recently found out even toby fox recommended it so... even more of an incentive to play it. PLAY GHOST PEAK
fighting games

games for when you want to beat people up for fun. super smash bros is sakurai’s iconic fighting game series that includes an insane roster of nintendo and non nintendo characters. its gameplay on the 3DS is not as peak as on home consoles but still good. (speaking of sakurai and peak check out kid icarus uprising)
